If you want to make room for new media opportunities, plan them in to the next quarter by evaluating current strategies that may not be as effective as the new.

Building business strategies and preparing your advertising to follow your seasonal trends will help you determine the type of advertising you want to buy, and what will be most effective for your business goals. Remain consistent with your advertising during both your peak and slow months, but be cautious of your spending during your off-season, as advertising during this period does not necessarily encourage spending as much as it creates branding recognition benefits for your business during your busier months; stay ahead of your competition!

Target Your Audience

When preparing your media plan, determine your audience, and evaluate the mediums that best reach your customer. Select those that will offer you the best return on your investment by considering the frequency, delivery method, or traffic of the chosen vehicle, so that you can maximize the return on your investment. Always consider that the makeup of your customer may vary between your "image" target, and that of your "call to action" customer, so develop a media mix that will reach both.
